“The Eternal Soundscape—A Myriad of Everlasting Memories” adopted sound as the core concept for the exhibition’s visual identity, reinventing the transmission of sound into the trajectory of the roots, and presenting the blooming of light and shadows as blossoming flower buds. Everyone becomes a blossoming flower, transforming into eternal soundscape of the island.
When an artist creates sound art, it's much like the process of producing preserved flowers. By recording, editing, and playing, they can preserve sounds as closely as possible to its natural form. The visual identity of the exhibition adopts this concept to reinvent the transmission of sound into the trajectory of the roots, present the blooming of light and shadows as blossoming flower buds, and employ an abstract method to convey the extension of sound. The vigorous, unbounded growth allows the audience to define for themselves what the Eternal Soundscape should look like by resonating with the visual identity of the exhibition and the sounds of the artwork.
The exhibition is located in the open corridor beside the atrium of the Museum without being enclosed in an exhibition space. For the wayfinding signs in the exhibition area, we mimic the gradually blooming flower in an abstract way and incorporated it in the floor. When visitors move through the corridor, they can see the destinations pointed out by the images on the ground regardless of their walking direction. The color plan is in sync with the tone of the Tainan Art Museum, with white as the basis, supplemented by light blues and light reds, ensuring a consistent atmosphere throughout.
